FORE APPOINTS STIFF + TREVILLION TO TRANSFORM TOWER BRIDGE BUILDING INTO FORWARD-THINKING OFFICE; NAMES LETTING AGENTS

FORE Partnership has appointed architect Stiff + Trevillion for its high profile refurbishment of Tower Bridge Court. FORE announced plans earlier this year to reposition the 1990s-built office adjacent to Tower Bridge into a highly sustainable workspace.

FORE has also appointed CBRE as the sole letting agent for the building.

FORE acquired the 68,090 sq ft building in Shad Thames for £51 million in July and is partnering with development manager Landid on the project.

FORE is a socially responsible, direct co-investing platform for UK and European real estate, backed by a dozen prominent family offices and private investors.

Landid is a forward-thinking office developer and most recently delivered a portfolio of market-leading workspaces in the Western Corridor, including the award-winning Thames Tower, in Reading, and The Porter Building, in Slough, the UK’s first WELL Certified office building.

FORE plans to refurbish and reposition Tower Bridge Court, creating a highly sustainable, best in class office that meets the needs of the next generation of occupiers and the wider community through a focus on social impact.

Stiff + Trevillion has extensive experience in creating sophisticated office buildings in sensitive locations. The practice’s work across the commercial sector, including restaurants and retail, as well as interior design, informs its approach to creating amenity-rich characterful workspace projects.

Basil Demeroutis, FORE Partnership managing partner, said: “Stiff + Trevillion were able to articulate perfectly the vision that we have for Tower Bridge Court, which is to sensitively transform the building to better reflect the way people live, work and interact in today’s world of intense competition and fast-moving technological, social and demographic change. In terms of agents, we felt that CBRE completely aligned with our approach to creating office buildings that foster creativity and innovation, buildings that are not only good for the environment but also have a positive community impact. Together, the team of CBRE and Stiff + Trevillion understood this very well and we look forward to their close collaboration and creative input on this project.”

Mike Stiff, Director, Stiff + Trevillion, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the FORE and Landid partnership and look forward to developing an innovative and unique building on this landmark site. The Tower Bridge Court project offers exciting opportunities to redefine the building’s relationship with Shad Thames and expand the public realm. This in turn opens up the possibility of introducing a range of uses that will benefit the occupiers and the surrounding community.”

Jack Knivett, director City leasing team, CBRE said: “This is a very exciting project to work on. Tower Bridge Court will be a highly sustainable premium workspace in an excellent central London location, with great connectivity and amenity. It will be designed and delivered to the highest standards and will appeal to the next generation of occupiers, who demand and expect so much more of an office building.”

Tower Bridge Court lies in an exceptional position on the south bank of the River Thames, providing stunning views of Tower Bridge, the City of London, and the River Thames.
