Can you share your favourite part of the building and why it stands out to you?
DH: My favourite aspect of the building is the terrace, which offers breathtaking views of Tower Bridge and the Thames. This space provides a perfect blend of modern architecture and natural beauty, allowing occupants to step away from the demands of the day and enjoy a moment of inspiration amid iconic vistas. Alongside this, the flexible work areas, designed to promote collaboration and creativity, highlight the building’s innovative approach to modern office design. The rich tapestry of local amenities and landmarks, such as Tower Bridge and The Shard, provides a unique backdrop that complements the innovative spirit of TBC.London.
What unique features of TBC.London do you think make it a standout building in London?
DH: One of the building’s most distinctive attributes is its unwavering commitment to sustainability, community and innovation. TBC.London meets high environmental standards, showcased by features such as state-of-the-art pollution-eating paint and smart building management systems all while achieving top-tier environmental and building certifications. The adaptable design of the space, which includes versatile areas like the Club Room and Urban Village Hall, is a clear indication of how the building embraces flexibility and multifunctionality. This modern “vertical village” not only meets the needs of busy professionals but also serves as a hub for community engagement and cultural interaction.
What is your vision for the Urban Village Hall at TBC.London?
DH: Looking ahead, my vision for the Urban Village Hall is that of a vibrant, multifunctional space that serves as the heart of the community. This 3,500 sq ft venue is designed to host a diverse range of cultural, educational, and social events to support local charities, social enterprises, schools, and community groups free of charge. I see the hall as a catalyst for connection and creativity, a place where the community can come together to share ideas, celebrate achievements, and foster meaningful dialogue. This space embodies our commitment to nurturing inclusivity and wellness in a modern urban environment, ultimately creating a lasting impact that extends well beyond the four walls of our building.
